For the last two days, we have been focusing on this tablet which is
an amazing piece of technology that Microsoft has created. What I
really like about it is that a full PC can be squished into a space
less than a centimetre. The Touch Cover is 7 layers of technology
squashed into a small 3mm space. It's 10.6 inch screen is great for
watching movies without the dreaded black bars which make your
precious media unenjoyable to watch. With 'Perimeter Venting' the
device can have a steady flow of air distributed to all it's
components. This solution keeps the computer cooler and the 3rd
Generation Intel i5 Ivy Bridge processor helps the computer run faster
and support data-munching apps. It has a MiMo 2X2 antenna, so it gets
the best WiFi reception, no matter which way you hold it. This is a
first in tablets. The Surface supports USB 3.0 and the .7mm kickstand
enables the user to have a truly handsfree experience. To unlock the
full HD display that Ivy Bridge supports, Microsoft included a Mini
DisplayPort. 1GB of high resolution photos can be transferred via USB
3.0 in 5 seconds compared to 2.0's 25 seconds. The Pro interface
supports digital inking, allowing you to write notes on PDF files with
digital ink. The tablet, though, needs 4G LTE to make the market
shatter. Non 4G tablet? Not for me! The package will be priced
according to the competition's ultrabooks. This is disappointing
because ultrabooks can get as high as £1,600. We'll just have to wait
and see.

Complete Specifications:
It uses the Windows 8 'metro style' OS and has Intel's 3rd generation
Core i5 CPU. It's 13.5mm thick and weighs 903 grams. The screen is a
10.6 inch ClearType Full HD (1080p) Display
It has a 42 watt hour battery which translates to about 7-9 hours It
has a microSDXC port, a USB 3.0 drive and a Mini DisplayPort for
video. The storage options are 64GB and 128GB and it has front and
rear facing HD cameras

Kinect is EVIL!

Kinect is EVIL!

Well, rumour's going round that the Kinect for the Xbox 360 is evil.
People say Microsoft, who is the creator of this magical machine, use
it to spy on people in their own homes. How can they do it? Almost 100
million people use Xbox Live. The device has a camera for taking
embarrassing photos of you while you play several Kinect games and a
laser sensor for tracking your bodily movements. It also contains a
microphone so you can stand amd boss your Xbox around, only using your
voice. Could be true, couldn't be true. We'll wait, see and of course
keep you updated!

Surface

Hey everyone, I'm going to be bringing you updated coverage of the
specs. How? Well, Michael Angiulo didn't do a good job keeping the
Surface's HD display under wraps. From analysing the footage of the
event, I can conclude that the RT version definitely has a 720p
display while the 1080p display of the Pro version was no surprise.
Microsoft isn't trying to hurt PC sales, they are trying to 'usher in
a new era of innovation' while trying to make a compholablet. The
Microsoft Corporation is making new technology for the future.

iPad vs Surface

iPad vs Surface

The iPad vs the Microsoft Surface... (for the Pros)

Well, today I'll be comparing the 2 tablets like compholablets or as a
computer, phone, laptop and a tablet mashed into one.

1. Size
Ok, I know, the Microsoft Surface isn't as dramatic as Stephen
Sinofsky viewed it. Now, the Surface is as good as anything and
although the Surface is chunkier than the iPad, there are two good
reasons for this. One, to not infringe on any of Apple's patents and
of course, to put some space to good use.
Winner : In my opinion, the Surface wins because there is some good
space being put to good use.

2. Accessories in the box
It may seem like a poor choice to judge on, but I'm all about
accessories, people! Now, the iPad comes with NO headphones
whatsoever! I'm angry at Apple. The Surface comes with two types of
keyboards, it seems. The Touch Cover and the Type Cover.
Winner: Tie. I bet there are not as many items in the Surface box as
there are in the iPad box.

3. RAW Processing power...
Now, 1GB of high resolution photographs isn't bad. With Intel on
Microsoft's side, they're unstoppable.
Winner: Surface

4. Screen Resolution
The iPad's high resolution screen is quite blinding. It's quadruple
someone on the iPad  2 could get get. Apple's 3.1 million pixels are
the greatest. Hands-down!
Winner: ïPad!

5. Content:
Hands down, iPad wins!
Winner: iPad Why? 200,000 apps and counting!

5. Wifi connection:
With 2X2 MiMo antennae, Surface wins
Winner: Surface

6. Value for money
The both products are value for their money, if you live in an Apple
ecosystem, go for the iPad. Microsoft ecosystem, the Surface is for
you.
Winner: Tie

Summary:

The Surface Pro is excellent for educational needs but the iPad's
resolution is great for watching movies. The choice is yours, go for
whatever you like.
P.S. They both can be used as a computer replacement.
